THE WAR IS NOT OVER!

By Anita Mondragon
“Things are not what they seem.  This is a world at war.  Each of us has a crucial role to play….  A battle is raging, and it is a battle for your heart.” -John Eldredge

FROM HIM, TO ME

By Anita Mondragon
During my early years of childhood, our family was very poor.  We lived in a ratty old house with plaster walls, most of which was missing.  My mom would stuff old rags in between the cracks to keep the cold out.  I wore hand-me-downs until I was eight years old, and slept in a crib until I was six.  Christmas for us was very different indeed.  We struggled to have food on the table, so my brother and I rarely had presents.  This poem came from a memory of one Christmas in particular.-anita

GOD’S PRESENCE…

I thought I would give my hard-working spouse a break today, as she has worked so hard the past week getting ready for our annual church Christmas party.

MARY’S LITTLE LAMB…

By Anita Mondragon

I am always reminded of the verse in John 1:29 that says this:

“Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!”

That Lamb…Mary’s little Lamb, is Jesus!

SHOW ‘EM WHAT YOU GOT…

MEMORIES…

By Anita Mondragon

Read:  Ecclesiastes 12:1-7

We are to remember our Creator in the days of our youth, before the days of trouble come and the years approach when you will say, “I find no pleasure in them”-

DON’T FRET…

“Seek ye, first the Kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”  Matthew 6:33

THE HALL EXPERIENCE…

By Anita Mondragon

Judge not, that ye be not judged.

For with what judgment you judge with, you shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete out, it shall be measured to you again.

And why do you see the mote that is in your brother’s eye, but don’t consider the beam that is in your own eye?-Matthew 7:1-3

It’s been said that confession is good for the soul.  So…I guess it’s time for me to come clean on something from my past.  Keep in mind, this event lasted only a few moments…but it revealed the content of my heart.

This was years ago, and I was shocked at what I saw in myself then.  Problem is…at times, I still struggle with the same feelings.  You know…when you come face to face with someone who thinks they are superior to everyone else?  Yeah…you all know what I’m talking about!

So…I sat down and wrote this.  My Office Manager was the worst…I’m sure we’ve all had one!  The following, is an experience I had one day when passing her in the hall-way.  It was a REAL eye-opener for it showed me the state of my heart in regards to her.

See if you can identify…Betcha can! -anita
