Anything Goes

by Anita Mondragon

“Jesus answered, “I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”  John 14:6

Remember that old song, “If it’s your thing…do what you wanna do…”?  When that song came out, that was a new idea…now, it seems to be the ‘norm’.

Nowadays, if you can THINK it…it’s ok to SAY it.  If you SAY it…you might as well DO it; and if you believe it enough to DO it… well…you might as well BE it! ANYTHING GOES!

There are no boundaries anymore; no right or wrong…no black or white.  No absolutes it seems. Read more…

I Don’t Know You

by Anita Mondragon

“Not everyone who says to me, ‘LORD, LORD,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22Many will say to me on that day, ‘LORD, LORD, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ 23Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’ (Matthew 7:21-23)

You speak to me and call out my name, when others are around;

In pious tones, you thank me that you’re not like those OTHER sinners…there…kneeling on the ground. Read more…

Do It Afraid

by Anita Mondragon

Years ago, when I was still in the workforce, our company paid beaucoup bucks for a seminar we all had to take.  It was called, “Integrity Selling.”  I really learned a lot from this seminar.  The Founder and Author of the book must have known a lot about God, and His precepts, for it was Biblical in many ways.  Take a look at the following, and you’ll see what I mean.

Here are some quotes from the book: I GO WHERE I AM AFRAID TO GO I DO WHAT I AM AFRAID TO DO I ASK WHEN I AM AFRAID TO ASK Read more…

The Morning After

by Anita Mondragon

We’ve all heard of ‘The morning after pill’.  You know…it’s the one you take in case you got pregnant the night before….

I want to talk to you today about the ‘Morning after pill’ that the devil gives you every Monday morning. Some of us…most of us Believers attend church on Sunday morning.  We get filled with the Holy Spirit, bask in His glory, bathe in His goodness.  We are fired up to spread the Gospel…pregnant with a word from God that He has spoken through the pastor, or someone else, or perhaps we heard Him directly speak to us;  only to lose it all, miscarry, if you will once Monday morning rolls around and we face the cares of this life. “He which testifies these things says, ‘Surely I come quickly, Amen.’  Even so, come, Lord Jesus.” Revelation 22:20

(Come and take us home to be with you)

“There is nothing on earth that can satisfy our deepest longing.  We long to see God.  The leaves of life are rustling with the rumor that we will…and we won’t be satisfied until we do.”  Max Lucado from his book:  When God Whispers Your Name

Come The Morning

by Anita Mondragon

Weeping may endure for a night, but JOY comes in the morning.”  Psalms 30:5
We had several torrential rainstorms hit our area, and I was very concerned about the birds and their young ones.  Every night, I would pray for them to be safe and dry.  I even gave God some advice on the storms, and told Him that perhaps he should lessen the amount of water He was sending, for although the seeds I had planted were enjoying this downpour…the animals outside were probably NOT as appreciative!

Saturday night, I got ready for bed and took a peek out my window to see what the weather looked like.  There was a blizzard going on!  I got in bed and said my prayers, but this time was different.  I said, “Really God?!  You and I need to have a heart to heart…  You’ve gone and drenched these birds for days …are you gonna freeze ’em now?”  I finally fell asleep, totally worried, and a bit peeved that God had not taken my advice regarding the weather situation. The Name Of The Lord

by Anita Mondragon

He was more talkative than usual as he climbed the stairs to bed.  Something was bothering him, I just wasn’t sure what it was. We said our bed-time prayers, turned on his favorite story of “Narnia”, and said our “good-nights”.

I had just drifted off to sleep, my body and mind finally relaxing.  Suddenly, I was awakened to sobs of terror coming from his room.  Hurriedly, I ran across the hall, threw open the door, and went to his side.  He was shaking, tears running down his face uncontrollably!  I held him close as I sat on the edge of his bed and asked, Read more…

Where Would I Be?

by Anita Mondragon

The other day, I began remembering all the good things in my life…things that God has given to me.  Then, I remembered the days before I knew Him.  What a contrast!  Those days were sad, lonely, and full of despair.  So I sat down and wrote the lyrics to what someday I hope will be a song.  These words were written to the Lord, to express my gratitude for His gracious mercy to me.  They are more of a prayer than anything.

Sing Your Praise To The Lord

by Anita Mondragon

Praise God in his holy house of worship,

praise him under the open skies;

Praise him for his acts of power,

praise him for his magnificent greatness;

Praise with a blast on the trumpet,

praise by strumming soft strings;

Praise him with castanets and dance,

praise him with banjo and flute;

Praise him with cymbals and a big bass drum,

praise him with fiddles and mandolin. Let every living, breathing creature praise God!

Hallelujah!-Psalm 150:1-6 MSG

Perfect Heart- Perfect Love

by Francine Rodriguez

As the month of February comes to an end we think of it as a time to celebrate those we love. It was the month of Valentines Day and it was also heart health month. I hope you took the time to think about your heart this past month as I did.

I asked myself what’s the condition of my heart both physically and spiritually and why do people say you broke my heart, can my heart really be broken?

Broken heart (also known as heartbreak or heartache) is a metaphor for the intense emotional—and sometimes physical—stress or pain one feels at experiencing great longing.

 “It is officially known as takotsubo cardiomyopathy, broken heart syndrome it’s a rare heart condition with symptoms that can mimic those of a heart attack.” Says Dr. Wittstein.
