MORE THAN JUST A WORD…

By Anita Mondragon

She walks in degradation

Wondering, aimless through the streets.

She’s nothing but a tramp now…

ONLY GOD…

By Anita Mondragon
There is a farm I can see in the distance, just outside my front room window.  I love to sit with my morning coffee, and watch the glorious sunrise every day!

HEEDING YOUR CALL

By Anita Mondragon
A couple of years back, a good friend of mine let me watch a DVD that she had.  It was called:  Heeding Your Call.  I don’t even remember who the speaker was…but the following was what I got from it.

MERCY

By Anita Mondragon

With mercy…You were broken

With mercy…Your blood shed.

You breathed Your words of Life in me…

And now, my sins are dead!

You looked upon my broken heart,

And saw the tears I cried;

You took my pain and sorrow,

When on the Cross You died.

You bid me come to You, and let my soul be fed.

You are the Living Water…

You are my Daily Bread.

I come to you Oh Jesus!  On bended knee, I fall;

Have mercy on me Lord…as on your name I call!

HE WAS…(IS) PRAYING FOR US!

By Anita Mondragon
This morning, I was reading one of my devotionals.  It was talking about the most unselfish prayer of all time.  It is found in John 17.  Here is part of that passage where Jesus is praying:

THE EYES OF THE LORD…

“…the eyes of the LORD are on those who fear him, on those whose hope is in his unfailing love…”  Psalm 33:18

BY CHANCE? … OR ON PURPOSE? August 28, 2015

By Anita Mondragon

“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord.  Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”  Jeremiah 29:11

Sorry for being a “blog hog”… but something extraordinary happened last night, and I couldn’t wait to share! -anita

THE CAGE

By Anita Mondragon

As many of you know, my dad was a Baptist Preacher for over 40 years.  He used many illustrations in his sermons to get his point across.  He likened them to parables that Jesus used in the Bible so that folks could understand more easily.

The following, is based on one of the illustrations he used.  I heard it many times during my growing up years, and turned it into a poem for my grandchildren. -anita
